Stop dreading BAS time.
I'm a local, registered BAS agent for Mount Gambier tradies, cafés and retailers. Fixed fees, books kept tidy, and the ATO handled — so you can get back to the work you actually love.

Sound familiar?
If any of this is you, you're in the right place.
BAS makes you anxious
The deadline creeps up and you're never quite sure it's right.
The shoebox of receipts
Records are behind, and catching up feels impossible.
No time for the books
You'd rather be on the tools, in the kitchen, or with family.
Surprise tax bills
You never know how much to set aside until it's too late.
02
What I do
Everything to keep you tidy & compliant
Bookkeeping
Your books reconciled every week — so nothing piles up and you always know where you stand.
BAS & GST
As a registered BAS agent I prepare and lodge your activity statements — on time, with the agent extension.
Payroll & super
Pay runs, super and Single Touch Payroll handled — your team and the ATO always squared away.
Simple monthly numbers
A clear one-page summary of profit, cash and what you're owed — in plain English, not jargon.
Catch-up & clean-up
Behind on a year of books? I'll get it sorted and lodged — then keep it from happening again.
Xero setup & training
Get set up on Xero properly, and learn just enough to feel confident — no more, no less.
BAS on time, guaranteed.
If I ever lodge your BAS late and you cop an ATO penalty for it, I'll cover the penalty. That's the promise — because a deadline is my job, not your worry.

How it works
Onboarded in about a week
A free chat
A relaxed 20 minutes to understand your business and what's been keeping you up at night.
I take it on
I review your file, fix anything urgent, set up a simple rhythm, and send a fixed-fee proposal.
You breathe out
Books kept, BAS lodged on time, clear numbers each month — and a real person on the end of the phone.
A free tool for you
How much should I set aside?
Move the slider or type your monthly income to see roughly what to put away for GST and tax. A quick guide — we'll work out the real numbers together.
A simple guide only — not tax advice. GST is 1/11th of GST-inclusive sales; the tax figure is a flat estimate, not your real rate. Verify at ato.gov.au, and we'll work out your actual numbers when we chat.

Do I need to register for GST?
At $60,000, you're under the $75,000 threshold — registering for GST is usually optional (though sometimes worth it).
You've got $15,000 of headroom before registration becomes mandatory.
The GST registration threshold is $75,000 turnover (lower for taxi/rideshare). General information from ATO guidance — not tax advice. We'll confirm your situation when we chat.

Hello, properly
"I started Blue Lake because too many good local businesses were drowning in paperwork that I actually love doing."
I'm Sarah — a registered BAS agent, born and raised on the Limestone Coast. After years in a city firm I came home to work with the people I grew up around: the tradies, the café owners, the shopkeepers who keep Mount Gambier running. I keep my client list small on purpose, so you always get me — not a call centre.

Good questions
Before you call
Not at all. If you're on spreadsheets or paper, I'll help you move across — or work with what you've got. Most people land on Xero because it's the simplest, but it's your call.
A registered BAS agent can legally prepare and lodge your BAS and look after GST, PAYG and payroll. Your end-of-year income tax return still goes through a registered tax agent — and I'll happily work alongside yours.
Yes — catch-up and clean-up is one of my favourite jobs. I'll get it sorted and lodged, then set up a rhythm so it never happens again.
A fixed monthly fee, agreed up front after a quick chat — see the pricing above for a guide. No hourly surprises, ever.
